It doesn't matter what is happening in the economy, people always need a place to live.
Young professionals out on their own for the first time, newlyweds creating their first
home, baby boomers purchasing a second home or downsizing to spend time enjoying
life and less on home maintenance. That is why this issue will focus on the art and
science of staging.

Recently Sandra Racz and I, (JoAnne Lenart-Weary) attended the RESA conference in
Las Vegas. I was honored to be invited to be a part of the panel of experts. This sold out
event was filled with people who offer staging as part of their business service package.
The speakers included the delightful
Matthew Finlason, from HGTV, The Stagers Fame,
along with
Bethany Souza of Designed to Sell
. They, as well as everyone we spoke to,
agreed with our teachings. Today's buyer has a higher level of expectations. If you are
staging the same way you did 5 years ago, you are doing it wrong.

So get ready to rethink the process and become the best stager you can be. We hope this
month's issue of The DECOpolitan will inspire and educate you! If you want more infor-
mation, sign up for our five week series, "Staging in the Zone." We are in the middle of
the first time we have presented it and the response has been fabulous. More details
inside.
SPRING!
Yesterday my husband saw a bald eagle
and today, a robin was splashing in the melting
snow. Both have returned from their winter migra-
tion to begin the nesting process. Spring is here
and Mother Nature will soon be "decorating" the
world with colorful flowers, green grass, and the
blue of spring skies. It is also the kickoff of the
busiest time of the real estate selling season.
